Little Owls Home

At Little Owls, you will have your own bedroom which you can personalise as you wish,. Our home has lots of space for relaxing and activities indoors and a nice garden at the back. In the local area are several schools and colleges, plus a leisure centre as well as local shops and amenities. 

The Local Area

Castle Donnington is famous for its car racing circuit and has an amazing market. With Little Owls being so close to East Midlands Airport, there is an aeropark where you can sit inside several different aircraft and watch planes coming into and out of the airport. Both are within a 10-minute walk. There is also a local park, which is a 2-minute walk from the home, ideal for bike rides and field games. 

Castle Donnington is also in a very central location close to some major roads and transport links, so staff can take our children out to enjoy all the things larger towns have to offer and maintain positive family and friendship links.

In the summer, Castle Donnington plays host to the famous Download music festival. Little Owls is in the ideal location to be able to sit in the garden and listen to the festival without having to leave the comfort of your own home!

Local Activities

We have many amenities close to the home, Alvaston Castle, Oxygen free jumping, Alter rock indoor climbing, Laser quest, Hollywood bowl, Odeon cinema, as well as an extensive amount of Leisure center's and local walks. 

Castle Donnington also has its own youth club for local young people, which will help promote local friendships for the young people.

Little Owls Staff Team

The homes manager has a Positive Behaviour Support coach qualification, which will be implemented within the home alongside Esland behaviour management. Previous experience in different residential settings as well as a secure training centre, over the course of around 11 years.

One of the homes RCW’s is a qualified gymnastics coach.

One of the homes RCW’s has an extensive experience and knowledge working with young women who have complex mental health issues.

Staff have a balance of knowledge and experience from all different areas of working with children and young people.
