Activities at The Willows
Based on the young people here at The Willows, the activities are varied and also considered towards the young people’s wishes and feelings & also tailored based on there skill set and capability to accomplishing certain activities that would need a member of staff who is qualified in that field. These activities can vary as simple as a local walk, cinema, crazy golf. Numerous low level activities. On the other end of form of activities we also provide outdoor activities ie Lowland hill walking involving navigation tools which would be map reading and using a compass, Indoor Bouldering, to even water sports.
The Willows' Team
The team have a variety of skills, ranging from paddle sports leaders, mountain leaders, people who have worked in secure units previously and staff that are therapeutically trained. We have a clinical team attached, which they have input with the young people within the home. The homes manager has 15 years of experience working with children in care including a deputy manager that has worked on the adventure team and numerous care homes within Esland.

We have successfully transitioned 3 young people that have gone onto progress within Esland and those that haven’t we have ensured that have been best suited elsewhere.
